Isabel Oroz and Eduardo García-Junceda have participated in the Biotrans 2013 held in Manchester (UK) where they have presented the communications "Aryl sulfotransferase from Haliangium ochraceum a useful tool for in situ regeneration of PAPS in sulfotransferase catalysed reactions" and "Study of the synthetic applicability of Rhamnulose-1-phosphate aldolase from Thermotoga maritima".
Between July and September, Cristian Aparicio (student of Biochemistry at the University of Castilla-La Mancha), Rafael Diego Macho (student of Biochemistry at the University of Córdoba and Marta Suarez (student of Biotechnology at the University Francisco de Vitoria), have had the opportunity to see first hand the world of scientific research in our lab.
In the V Regional Meeting of Biocatalysis and Biotransformations (VEnReBB) held in La Plata, Eduardo García-Junceda gave the Plenary Lecture entitled "Aldolasas hipertermófilas para la síntesis de análogos de Carbohidratos". The works "Desarrollo de un nuevo sistema multienzimático para la regeneración in situ del donador universal de grupos sulfato (PAPS) en reacciones catalizadas por sulfotransferasas" and "Desarrollo de una estrategia de ¨cell display¨ de la fosfotriesterasa de B. diminuta para su uso en la degradación de pesticidas organofosforados" were presented in poster format by Iván Ayuso and Julieta Bertana respectively.
