Eduardo Garcia-Junceda with Iván Lavandera, Dörte Rother and Joerg H. Schrittwieser, have edited this special issue of the Journal of Molecular Catalysis: B Enzymatic dedicated to (Chemo)Enzymatic Reactions Cascade. This issue aims to introduce the reader to some key aspects of (chemo)enzymatic cascades through works by some of the leading researchers in the field.

On March 28, 14 students of 4th of ESO from the High School "Nuestra Señora del Pilar" come to visit our laboratory to know how it works there and in what consists the job of a researcher. After an introductory talk in which Isabel Oroz Guinea and Israel Sánchez-Moreno presented them in an accessible way, what is done in the laboratory, they made three different practices. At first they did LB-agar plates and seeded for antibiotic resistance of some bacteria and to a differentiation of colonies. In the second, they performed DNA electrophoresis. Finally, they measured the amount of protein in a sample by the method of Bradford.
Ana Rubial, Eva Mallou and Pilar Montero are studying the Biotechnology Degree at the European University of Madrid and they have joined us to make the TFG.
